Ducati India has introduced the most anticipated Panigale V4 along with its top end trim the V4 S in the current lineup. The motorcycles are priced at INR 20.53 lakh and INR 25.29 lakh respectively. The Indian market will get the availability of only 20 units while deliveries against the bookings will start from July 2018 onwards. On a happy note, the first two customers will be availed with the Ducati Riding Experience racetrack course that is going to happen in June 2018 at the Sepang MotoGP circuit in Malaysia.
The Panigale V4 is the first production motorcycle from Ducati that is packed with a mighty four-cylinder engine. The engine draws inspiration from the MotoGP Desmosedici. It is a 1,103cc, 90 degree V4 engine that churns out the monstrous power output of 214hp at 13,000rpm and 124Nm at 10,000rpm.
The Panigale V4 is developed on a new chassis and follows next-gen design language that not only supports it in keeping its weight low (eg. 198kg for the V4 and 195kg for the V4 S trim) but also offers a perfect power/weight ratio of 1.1hp/kg. This factor placed the Panigale V4 S at the top of this segment.
At the launch ceremony, Mr Sergi Canovas, managing director of Ducati India said, “We have been overwhelmed with enquiries since the announcement at EICMA and as a result have opened bookings six months before the motorcycle even arrives in India”.
The Panigale V4 S is the road legal iteration of Ducati’s race oriented bike. So, to control this beast the manufacturer packed it with an array of electronic aids such as Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Quick shift up and down, Ducati Traction Control EVO, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Electronic Suspension EVO, Engine Brake Control EVO and ABS Cornering Bosch EVO.
