Ducati, an Italian venture known for making motorcycles, has got tremendous success for its 803cc Scrambler variant. The brand has been marked with sales of more than 50,000 units for the first time in its history, by dispatching around 14,000 units of 803cc Scramblers in a month. Even this huge success did not stop the marquee here and it went for the 400cc smaller-capacity variant that was unveiled three weeks ago at the EICMA Motorcycle Show held in Milan, and now it seems that Ducati has bigger plans to introduce the 1100cc variant in the line-up in near future.

If we talk about the power dynamics of this fictitious 1100cc Scarmbler, which may turn into reality in the future, high possibilities are there that this variant will draw power from the same engine that powered the Ducati Monster 1100. Monster 1100 has been powered by a 1078cc L-Twin cylinder 2 valve per cylinder Desmodromic, air cooled motor, which propels a power of 95HP at 7500 RPM and 102.9NM of torque at 6000 RPM.
When discussing about the likelihood of this 1100cc variant, Claudio Domenicali, CEO Ducati, said, “An 1100cc model can still be a Scrambler as long as it keeps to the same formula and doesn’t try to be too technical or make things too complex. There will be a family of Scrambler motorcycles. All of these will be called Scrambler and they will be about simple fun; something that sits on the other side of the garage from the Ducati sportsbike and is perfect for a Sunday morning ride to get a coffee. These bikes will be about basic technology, just the bike and nothing more.”
