A few days ago, Ducati announced the introduction of five new models to its Indian lineup starting from June-July this year. Fulfilling the same statement, the legendary Italian auto major is all set to launch the entry-level models under Monster and Multistrada moniker, the Monster 797 and the Multistrada 950 on June 14. In terms of global appearance, both these upcoming motorcycles have already marked their presence at the World Ducati Week and EICMA 2016.
According to the sources, the Ducati Monster 797, which will be priced at around Rs 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), will be placed beneath the Monster 821, which is around Rs 3 Lakh costlier than the former one. Packed with the 803cc air-cooled mill borrowed from the scrambler range, will be the most affordable monster in the Indian lineup. It is the newest and smallest member of the Monster range.
While, the Ducati Multistrada 950, which is the brand’s new entry-level adventure tourer, will also be available to purchase on the same day. It will make you spend around Rs 11.52 lakh, which is significantly dearer in price than the elder sibling the Multistrada 1200, which is priced at Rs 14.85 lakh. Both the mentioned prices are applicable at authorized Delhi dealerships. Post launch, the Multistrada 950 will go in competition with the Triumph Tiger family.
Here in India, both the motorcycle will hit the Indian ground all the way from Thailand via Completely Built Up (CBU) route. While the deliveries for the motorcycles will take place by the end of June 2017.
