Ducati Unpacks Scrambler Cafe Racer and Desert Sled; A Day Before EICMA 2016

Ducati has torn out the packaging from the presents, which were expected to roll out at the EICMA 2016. But the Italian marque has ended up the limit of impatient enthusiasts just a step before reaching the milestone. And the outcome has completely astonished the world, as the automaker is back with the motorcycles for which Ducati is renowned across the globe, the Scrambler motorcycles. Globally, the vehicles will be called as the Scrambler Cafe Racer and the Scrambler Desert Sled.

A keen observation of both the bikes simply gives the feel that you can grow old in style and live long but the essence of your root will remain pure and intact. Now go through these new Ducati Scrambler motorcycles one by one.

Inherited the conventional Cafe’ Racer styling in its DNA, the Scrambler Cafe’ Racer is simply the more fun and flavored form of the parent Scrambler. To offer a distinctive look, Ducati has replaced the elder Scrambler’s one piece handlebar from the clip-on and bar end mirrors. Altogether, it has been featured with removable seat cowl on the Scrambler styled single seat to match with the Cafe’ Racer philosophy from tip to toe. Other than this, the gold paint job on the fuel tank and on the alloy wheels are also counted on the fascinating features of the bike, in contrast to a raw look offered from the ride side placed number plate.

The Desert Sled, on the other hand, is a modern scrambler which is not just a styling element but also a real good fun off-road to take the bike hassle free on any terrain situation, as the company claimed. If talked out the equipped components in this consolidated multipurpose tourer, the Scrambler Desert sled is built on the same base Scrambler chassis, which is integrated to a newly designed aluminum swingarm. Moreover, it gets dual-sport tyres, fresh front mudguard fitting and a new headlight grill to match with the desert theme.

On mechanicals, the Scrambler Café Racer and the Scrambler Desert Sled are blessed with an 803cc L-Twin air-cooled powertrain. The Euro 4 compliant engine belts out the power closer to 75bhp. While revealed a day before the EICMA 2016, the motorcycles will also be showcased at the event going to start from tomorrow. Indian emergence of these bikes are also expected soon and will be brought to the Indian soil via CBU route from Ducati’s Thailand based production facility.
