Ducati India has announced the prices for its first proper cruiser, Ducati XDiavel, however, the official launch is slated to be scheduled in September. The litre-class machine is going to be presented in two variants in which the standard one will be tagged at Rs. 15.56 lakh (EX-showroom, Mumbai) while the top-spec XDiavel S would be a bit extravagant i.e. INR 18.11 lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The extra price of the premium latter version is due to a unique set of wheels, a bluetooth module, an infotainment system, and a more premium sitting couch. This variant, apart from the usual matte black finish on the standard unit, gets a glossy black paint scheme for a change.
On the mechanical front, the Ducati XDiavel would be armed with a brand new steel tubular trellis frame including a single-sided swingarm. At the heart is placed a Testatretta L-Twin engine, which has been stolen from the Ducati Multistrada. The 1262cc liquid-cooled mill delivers a fierce power of 155BHP and a torque of 129NM to the wheels at back via a belt drive. With the completely modified ergonomics, the cruiser offers a leaner riding position. Cornering ABS, traction control, and rider modes a launch control system comprise the electronic stuff.

With the anticipated launch two months later, the XDiavel can be reserved for the token amount of Rs. 2 lakh and comes with a warranty card of 2years/unlimited kilometers. Once launched, the bike will certainly lock the horns of the Triumph Thunderbird Storm and the Harley-Davidson Breakout.
