The Japanese brand, Kawasaki bounced up its product portfolio by introducing the first 125cc small displacement maxi-scooter at the EICMA, named J125, which picks up the race along with the existing elder sibling J300. By the launch, it is clearly expressed that Kawasaki solely aims for gaining access over the European market where the demand for maxi-scooters are popular.
Cataloguing power dimensions, the Kawasaki J125 is powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled, SOHC 4-valve, single cylinder engine and chassis with a claimed power of 13.8 HP and a peak torque of 12NM. The engine is mated to a CVT, for true twist-and-go rideability. Equipped with 14 inch wheels up front, power is delivered to the 13 inch rear wheel via a CVT transmission. Suspension specs include twin rear shocks offer five preloaded adjustable settings.

Glancing the exterior, the scooter carries various eye-catching elements which makes it pretty fascinating from its first looks. The J125 looks muscular and heavy with a two-tone silver seat, LED taillight and the front end imitates various Kawasaki's streetfighters. The dash mixtures analogue speedo and rev counter, with an LCD panel. It gets petal-type discs at both ends with an optional ABS. Although it is light footed on the ride, the mini-voyager still weighs around 185 kg. For the safety precautions, the J125 features an anti-tamper, anti-theft ignition switch.
Available colors for the bike are- ‘Metallic Anthracite Black’, ‘Metallic Frosted Ice White’ and ‘Metallic Flat Anthracite Black’. As of now, there is no official information regarding the pricing and availability of the scooter.
