Emflux Model 1 Readies To Launch At Auto Expo 2018 India

Bangalore-based Emflux Motors Pvt. Ltd is a technological start-up putting efforts to make electric commuters. As expected they will enter the market with the launch of an electric superbike, the Model 1 in the country and it is will be India’s first electric superbike. The company has given some information that it can launch the Model 1 at the 2018 Auto Expo, India. Another round of funding for the company will start after the launch of Model 1.

As shown from the keen design of the Emflux Motors Model 1, the company is trying to shift the trend with the new definition to electric motorcycles in India. Initiating with the premium range products to support brand promotion, the Emflux Motors wants to enter into the component development business in upcoming time. Another model, Model 2 is also rumored in the line-up to introduce with the street-fighter version of the superbike.

The Model 1 takes a liquid-cooled AC engine which is well-fed with Samsung Li-ion batteries and generates a maximum power of 50 kW at 67 BHP and a peak torque of 84 Nm at 0-8400 RPM. The superbike produces a top speed of 200 km/hr and intensive acceleration maintaining 0-100 km/hr in 3 seconds.

The company ensures that it can go 200kms on a one-time charge battery. Refurbishing braking mechanism of the bike makes the Model 1’s travel range enhanced during braking.

Braking hardware includes mono-block aluminum brakes taken from Brembo whereas the suspension setup adorned from Ohlins. The superbike comes with a dual-channel ABS unit made up of Continental. The upcoming bike is equipped with real-time diagnostics, bike-to-bike connectivity, mobile app, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen and GPS navigation.

The Model 1 is speculated to put in the price range of Rs. 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The fully-equipped bike will be put in the 600-650cc category and will be giving a tough rival to the petrol-powered bikes like Kawasaki Ninja 650 and being the electric superbike it will be more appealing option in India.
