Hyundai, the Korean automaker has recently revealed the features of its Chinese model ix25. This model will be officially launched in India with the name 'Hyundai Creta' on July, 21. This will be the second model launched by Hyundai this year after the launch of Hyundai Active i20. There has been a lot of buzz about this upcoming model in the automobile market. With 90% parts sourced locally, this model will be priced at a range between INR 8 lacs to INR 12 lacs, which is comparatively less than other SUVs. The all new compact SUV is likely to face a tough competition from its already established rival SUVs like Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano. It will have enough space to occupy five adults and will offer a boot capacity of 400 litres. Let's take a look at the features of this much talked about vehicle.
The car is 4270 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1630 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2590mm. Entering the cabin, we see a multi-function steering wheel taken from Verna, a center console inspired from Santa-Fe and seats are covered in leather. It is also equipped with features like powered driver's seats, rear AC vents automatic climate control, projector headlamps and LED DRL's. The Blue Link infotainment comes with a touchscreen system along with navigation facility offering connectivity options for various smartphones. Additionally, features like traction control, cruise control, hill descend and hill hold control will also be on the offer. Apart from this, the new SUV will also have six air bags ensuring safety of the passengers.
Reportedly, the range of powertrain will include 1.4 lire diesel engine generating a power of 88.7 Bhp and 219 Nm of torque and 1.6 litre diesel engine will offer 126 Bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. Another option will be a model powered by 1.6 litre petrol engine pumping out a power of 121 Bhp and 155 Nm of torque. The engine will be clubbed with a six-speed automatic gearbox, however, a manual gearbox will also be available in some models.
