Today, the automobile brand Fiat has launched the three-door model Abarth 595 Competizione at the price of INR 29.85 Lacs, (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has been introduced earlier in India at the 2014 Auto Expo, held in Delhi. It will be sold in the country as a CBU model (Completely Built Unit). It carries eye catching and impressive styling. Riding on the 17-inch alloy wheels, this hatchback sports Abarth Scorpion badges at certain portions. Further, the side body decals, exhaust pipes, bumper, HID headlamps and sunroof add to its exterior beauty.
Discussing the mechanical configuration, it gets power from a 1.4 litre T-Jet engine which can pump out 159 Bhp and 230 Nm torque. However, the car runs on two modes- Normal and Sports. At normal mode the torque figure is 206 Nm but in Sports mode it is increased to 230 Nm. The acceleration enables the hatchback to ride up to100 km/h within 7.6 seconds with the top speed of 210 km/h.
Entering the cabin, you will find it highlighting a sporty look. It gets Sabelt seats and an instrument panel with a 7-inch TFT display. The steering wheel is covered with leather and there are controls mounted on it. It is also equipped with features like climate control, rear parking sensors, airbags and torque transfer control.
It will be available for sale in four paint shades including Scorpione Black, Iridato White, Campovolo Grey and Cordolo Red. As of now, this model is offered only at selective showrooms located in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.
