As per the planned schedule, Ford has finally launched the sedan Figo Aspire today in an official event held in New Delhi. This is apparently the automaker's first sub-4 meter sedan model and is available in four trims. These trims include- Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus. It has been made available with diesel as well as petrol engine options. The base-spec can be purchased at the price of INR 4.89 Lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi) while, the top ranging model will be sold at INR 8.24 Lacs. The company had already commenced its advance booking procedure by the end of July.
From outside, this sedan gets highly attractive and stylish design just like all the other Ford models available in the market. One of the most eye-catching components is the chrome-highlighted company emblem etched on the boot lid of this model. Apart from this, the grille contains six slates and is bordered by two big headlamps that are swept backwards. The round fog lights and tail lamps also beautify the exterior portion.
Discussing the interior, this compact sedan has been equipped with high-tech equipments facilitating a comfortable and fun drive to the occupants. The cabin boasts of black and beige colored ambiance along with leather upholstery and a black center console in the cockpit. Other important features include Sync infotainment linked with Bluetooth, Ford MyKey and MyFord Dock.
The powertrain of this model is available in three options including one diesel and two petrol units. The diesel motor contains 1.5 litre TDCi with 100 PS and 215 Nm linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. Another one is a 1.2 litre Ti-VCT engine delivering 88 PS and torque of 112 Nm, coupled with five-speed manual transmission. In addition to these, the new Aspire will also be powered by a 1.5 litre petrol motor torqued at 136 Nm, which will be mated to a six-speed DCT setup.
