Ford has officially announced the concept for upcoming Ford Figo Sedan. The car fits under the range of sub 4 meter. The car, when lunched, will be competing with other cars of the category including Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan which is going to launch today and Tata Zest which was introduced yesterday.
Company says that the car has been gone through hundreds of hours of wind tunnel test to minimize the wind noise and enhancing the aerodynamics. The car is scheduled to launch in 2015 and might replace the ongoing Fiesta Classic. Ford Figo Sedan will load the company into the manufacturing system of sub 4 meter sedans. It will be based on B2E platform which is currently underpinning Ecosport.
The car is nicely crafted with trapezoidal grill shape which seems to be inspired from Aston Martin with black base headlights. From the concept, car looks well balanced and proportioned. There are no details about the engines and other technical aspects of the car but it will more likely be receiving a 1.2 liter petrol, 1 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter diesel from Ecosport. The hatchback version of the car will jump later than the sedan one. The new Figo will a lot roomier and plush than the current model.
