The American multinational automaker, Ford has promulgated that its first car will be the Figo compact sedan, which will undergo production at the new Sanand facility in India. Its concept model has already been showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Show and will be arriving in the Indian automobile market soon in this ongoing year with new Figo Aspire name. The runabout has been seen while testing many times in our country alongside the glamor body design. Based on the same platform as the new generation Figo, this sub 4 metre sedan includes aggressive front fascia with trapezoidal grille, stunning foglamps, sweptback large headlamps and a large bumper comprising wide air dam.
Coming to its rear profile, which gets boomerang shaped rear taillights, rattling bumper including silver diffuser and rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators. It will be capable to cover more distance in 1 litre fuel consumption as compared to the distance covered by its predecessor in per litre fuel. The reason behind improved mileage will be the former generation Fiesta platform, which has been updated this time for underpinning the Aspire alongside higher strength as well as lighter steel structure.
Ford will offer two fuel options for 1.2 litre TiVCT petrol and the Fiesta shared 1.5 litre diesel engines. The petrol mill variant would produce 80 PS of power and moreover, the brand is also expected to introduce a 1.5 litre petrol version including twin clutch powershift transmission.
