As reported from Autocar India, Ford India is going to launch the most awaited 2018 EcoSport in October 2017. While, its deliveries will be commenced one month after its launch, in November 2017. Earlier, the model was showcased in front of the audience in November last year.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport will come with upmarket upgrades not only at the cosmetic but also at the mechanical front too along with an array of added features. Exterior Wise, the new EcoSport front end draws styling inspiration from its SUV models available in the global market such as Ford Edge and Ford Escape. Other than this, you will witness the embellishment of a new hexagonal grille, larger headlamps, triangular fog lamps and a redesigned bumper at front fascia. While the rear is expected to get new design spare wheel cover along with new design alloy wheels at the side profile of the next-gen Ford EcoSport.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard now gets a grab bar. Moreover, the center console which has been refreshed by redesigning and adding quality material receives the fitment of a new three-spoke steering wheel, along with Ford Fiesta-inspired new instrument cluster and floating central display. The central display showcases the output made by changes on new Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the 2018 Ford EcoSport will get a new a new 1.5-litre Dragon series petrol engine. It is a three-cylinder mill will is able of producing around 120 hp. While the 1.5-litre diesel engine which is already on offer with the regular EcoSport will continue to provide the same 100 PS power without any tweaks. However, the 1.5-litre TiVCT which make 112 PS and the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine which churns out 125 PS not confirmed to be offered with this new trim.
