Ford India today added a new edition to the existing EcoSport lineup that comes with some additional premium features including a touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, rearview camera, new alloy wheels, etc. Labelled as EcoSport Platinum, it is available with a 1.5-litre diesel variant priced at INR 10.69 Lakh and a 1.0-litre EcoBoost variant priced at INR 10.39 Lakh (Ex-showroom). Check out highlights of this new edition:
First one on the list is a “Black Roof” which comes as a standard attachment on this variant. The second one is a “Touchscreen Infotainment System” that was much awaited on the car. The idea of offering it might be borrowed from its closest rival Maruti Vitara Brezza which is already blessed with smart touchscreen entertainment system since its birth. The all-new 8-inch touchscreen system itself compatible with features like satellite navigation, music and video playback.
Another feature on the list is a “Cruise Control,” that allows a vehicle to run on a constant pre-set speed without resting feet on the acceleration pedal. Albeit, this features can be used only up to a speed of 30 kmph. It also gets a set of 17-inch alloy wheels wider profile tyres and appliques for front and rear bumpers. Furthermore, six airbags are standard on this edition.
