Ford Mustang lately encountered a hike in cost by Rs. 3 lakh. The India specific version of Mustang GT 5.0 V8 is now available at Rs. 74.62 lakh and witnesses a hike of Rs. 9.62 lakh considering the base Ford India sold in Feb 2016 at a price of Rs. 65 lakh.
Right-hand drive Mustang is like a dream car for fans in the world. Comparing its price in the US, it is available at $35,095 or Rs. 22.82 lakh approximately, that means we are paying here three times more than the original cost of the car in India.
Although import taxes in India are quite high, it seems that the company is also gaining more profit by selling the cars at that much price. The premium variant of Ford Mustang which is GT 5.0 takes four seating arrangement and reaches idle to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds.

It weighs more than the standard cars of this length and powered by a 4951cc eight cylinder engine which works like a rocket to an electronic speed limiter reaching 250 kmph of maximum speed. The engine is able to produce a peak power of 395 HP at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 515 Nm at 4250 rpm.
