The Compact Luxury Crossover SUV, Audi Q5 has been already unveiled in the US and Europe as competitor against the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Jaguar F-Pace, and the BMW X3. With grand success of 26% sales in the US, the German company is ready to launch this new 2018 Audi Q5 model in India. Although, the date is not confirmed yet from Audi’s stable.
The India-bound Audi Q5 will get some additive over the earlier model and some styling features it borrowed from comrade Q7. As earlier, it will be available in both diesel and petrol engine options. The petrol engine is powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI engine which exerts 249 BHP of power while, the diesel engine gets power from 2-litre TDI turbo engine which generates 188 BHP. The engine is mated to seven-speed transmission with a S-Tronic gearbox and standard Quattro AWD system.
Styling attributes are shared from Q7 which includes new headlights, taillamps, and 20-inch alloy wheels with parking aids. The interior is also upgraded with new themes, multi-featured steering wheel, 7-inch TFT display, Bang & Olufsen audio system, adjustable seats, and MMI etc.
On more, brand new Audi Q2, the new addition to the famous Q series in Audi India’s platform, is set to launch in India. The Audi Q2, which ranks below Q3, is the smallest and entry-level Quattro range of SUV and crossover showcased at Frankfurt motor show.
The new Audi Q2 is powered by both options; a 2-litre TDI diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It is priced between INR 28-30 lakh same as the A3 due to the identical inside equipment arrangement and the same luxurious feel. It looks extremely beautiful with its beige colored interior with power seats, mirrors, and windows. The twin-zone climate regulator with AC vents and steering mounted control of infotainment system makes it extremely upgraded.
Apart from these, the Audi is ready to launch the sports-focused compact executive car, Audi RS4 Quattro with massive air inlets, flourishing honeycomb structure, and RS-specific diffuser insert at the rear. The RS4, priced at INR 52.52 lakh, is available for pre-order in the UK and will start deliveries by the beginning of the year.
The Audi RS4 Quattro is powered by a 2.9-litre turbo V6 motor which generates 450 BHP of power and 600 Nm of torque. It is available with 19-inch wheels as standard or optional 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. Altogether, it is capable to does a 0-100 kmph in 4.1 seconds, and attaining the maximum speed of 250kmph.
