Harley-Davidson 1200 custom coming soon to the Indian Market

The Indian arm of Harley-Davidson is reportedly prepared to kick out its new motorcycle to the Indian aficionado- the 1200 custom on 28th January of this month. This new cruiser offering of the American motorcycle manufacturer will take over the market of the dismissed SuperLow and Fat Boy Special. Though, American cruiser maker is not going to participate at the upcoming auto event, but recently the firm has altered its price list of the product line-up, that came into effect from 8 January, 2016.

If talked about the powering of the 1200 custom, it draws power from a 1200cc air-cooled V-twin engine. The electronic fuel injection system churns out the 61 BHP power at 5800 revs per minute and torque of 68 Nm at 4100 RPM to move faster the motorcycle. The mill is mated to a five-speed transmission. The 1200 Custom is expected to mark its place in the Sportster family between the Forty-Eight and the Iron 883.

Visually, The 1200 Custom looks pretty much similar to its discontinued SuperLow. But this one is featured with newly modern technologies that facilitates you to customize seat and handlebar as per your riding convenience and comfort. Apart from this, The Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom has the handlebar mounted electronic speedometer and the rubber mounted Powertrain.

The 1200 Custom will go on sale in the Indian market as a Completely-Knocked-Down (CKD) route unit with aggressively competitive price tag of Rs 8.5 Lakh expected (ex-showroom, Delhi).
