Hero Electric Unwraps New E-Bicycles and A New Scooter in India

Carrying forward the pollution free environment initiative, Hero Electric has pulled the wraps off from a range of electric vehicles which include two new electric bicycles and a new electric scooter. The electric bicycles are named as A2B speed and the Kuo Boost while the upcoming e-scooter is codenamed as AXL-HE20.

Firstly takes bicycles into consideration, the A2B speed is powered by a 36-volt battery that in association with a 500-watt motor offers the propelling power for 700 full charge cycles. It is expected to travel the distance of 70 kilometres in a single charge and can attain the top speed of 45kmph. Based on an aluminium frame, this artwork is associated with an eight gear Shimano XT derailleur transmission. While for braking, the wheels are anchored with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes.

Whereas the other one, the A2B Kuo Boost is packed with a lithium-ion battery to powered a couple 350-watt motor. The generated power for motion is 700 full cycle charge. While the bicycle can cover the distance of 60 kilometres in a single charge. The Kuo Boost is also crafted on an Aluminium frame and weighs just 20kg. The bicycle is capable of attaining the top speed of 32 kmph. Mated to an eight gear Shimano derailleur transmission, the Kuo Boost is counted in one of the best-selling foldable electric bicycles.

Now talk about the much important electric scooter that is codenamed as the AXLHE-20. Draws styling inspiration from the motoscooter, the scooter is equipped with components like front-apron mounted headlamp, long-travel telescopic front forks, alloy wheels and a front disc brake.

In terms of propelling power, the e-scooter is fitted with a 4kW motor that churns out 6kW (8.15PS) of peak power. With the support of a lithium-ion battery that takes around four hours for a complete charge, the AXLHE-20 can cover up the range of 110km and gets the top speed of 85khmph, as claimed by the Hero Electric. Other than this, there is regenerative braking system that charge up the battery every time you brake or coast to improve the travel range.

In India, all these three electric offerings are expected to mark their presence by the end of this year. While the pricing is not yet revealed by the automaker. Though the speculations are going to be priced around INR 60,000, the electric scooter will go into competition with the likes of Okinawa Praise and 22 Motors Flow in the segment. The company will showcase all these products in front of the audience at the 2018 Auto Expo at their stall in Hall 4.
