Hero Motocorp, the India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has taken steps forward towards the launching of its newly introduced 250cc motorcycle. The company has showcased the 250cc concept motorcycle at the Indian Auto Expo, 2014, which was held in the month of February. Now, we are looking at a very real possibility that the company plans to launch the all new Hero HX 250R in India very soon, as the manufacturer has recently filed out a European Trademark for its fully-faired quarter-liter motorcycle.
Talking about the sporty styling of the Hero HX 250, the designing part of the full-faired motorcycle has been taken care by an American sport motorcycle manufacturer, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) and AVL. As, the 250cc sport motorcycle has already given an indication of entering the European market, we will be highly expecting Hero HX 250r to go on sale in India by the coming year, 2015. In Europe, the newly introduced sport motorcycle might get branded for the American motorcycle manufacturer. The tubular steel frame of the motorcycle has helped a lot to drop down the weight of the motorcycle, as it weighs only 139Kg, instead of full fairing.
The mechanism of the motorcycle has been specifically designed to give its ride a track racing experience. The Hero HX 250R is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine with an engine displacement of 249cc. The motor is coupled to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission and is capable to generate a total power of 31 BHP and a peak torque of 26Nm.
Well, by launching the HX 250R in India, the Hero Motocorp is directly competing with the upcoming Honda CBR300R. More recent, this 250cc motorcycle has already been stopped as its place has been taken by CBR 300R in the market of the United Kingdom.
