Hero Motocorp, has finally stopped the production of Splendor iSmart 100cc in the country. The most selling fuel-efficient commuter bike from the automaker, was introduced in 2014 and was the fifth addition under the moniker of Splendor name. The discontinuity of iSmart 100cc from the product lineup, is really being surprising for the Indian crowd, who preferred this affordable and mileage motorcycle as its first choice. However, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer made this move to bring the all new Hero Splendor iSmart 110cc in the market.
Under the courtesy of GaadiWaadi, it is revealed that Hero is all geared to launch the more advanced version of the ismart. The Splendor iSmart 110 was showcased introduced at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, which is built under a new design philosophy and improved power specifications. As we have noted few days earlier, the Hero Splendor iSmart 110cc has already been spotted at the dealership, prior to its launch, which is likely to happen later this month.
The Splendor iSmart 100cc came powered by a single cylinder, air-cooled engine with the displacement of 97.2cc. The engine was capable to pump out the power of 8.2bhp and torque of 8.05Nm with the support of 4-speed transmission.
Equipped with the Hero patented i3S technology, the Splendor iSmart was claimed to return the healthy mileage figure of 102 Km/l. The i3S helps to save fuel during traffic condition. On idle state, the engine automatically gets turn off and on pressing the clutch, the engine starts.
