Hero MotoCorp to Add Three New Scooters by the Next Fiscal

Hero MotoCorp has planned to introduce three new scooters to its Indian lineup. The one that is confirmed is the Hero Dare, which will hit the dealerships in the first quarter of 2018. While, there is no official information about other two offerings, but expectations suggest, the launch will take place some times in the next fiscal year.

Hero Dare is the only affirmed scooter to join the current lineup in the early next year. The scooter was showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo and powered by a 125cc motor. In the segment, the model will go in competition with the likes of Suzuki Access and the Honda Activa 125. The details for the other models are not available now as speculated they could be the production version of the Leap Hybrid or the Duet E electric scooter. With the three new scooters, the Hero is eyeing to expand its market share which currently is 50 percent in the market. Out of which, the scooter segment shares just 12 percent, so in order to take on with the arch rival Honda, the company is focusing to roll out these three new scooters by the next fiscal.
