During the launching ceremony of Hero Maestro Edge, the home-based two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has unveiled Hero Duet, that will be launched during the festive season. The new 110cc Duet will make its appearance in the Indian two-wheeler market in two variants, which is much like the recently launched Hero Maestro Edge. The scooter will be available in six stunning color options- Panther Black Metallic, Nature Green Metallic, Matt Vernier Grey, Grace Grey Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Pearl Silver White. And, it is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 50,000 (Ex-showroom). It also comes with the five fear warranty. Moreover, the Hero Duet will directly compete with the key player of the segment named Honda Activa.
In terms of design, the new Hero Duet is featured with all metal body which is slightly higher than Hero Maestro Edge. The Hero Duet looks very sportier and edgy such as the scooter is featured with the muscular headlight cluster and front apron that give an aggressive look to the scooter. The Hero Duet has also received the same components from the Hero Maestro Edge that consist of the Integrated Braking System, combination-type handlebar lock, digital-analog instrument cluster with service reminder, external fuel filler with buzzer, combination lock, USB power socket, under-seat storage lamp, carry bag hooks at the front & rear and tubeless tyres and steel wheels instead of alloy wheels.
Furthermore, the scooter has excellent ergonomics and power-to-weight-ration which make it very compatible for every type of road conditions. The new 110cc scooter measures 1,830 mm in length, 725 mm in width and 1,140 mm in height, whereas, the wheelbase is 1,245 mm and the ground clearance is 155 mm. The Duet weighs 116 kg. Moreover, the scooter sits on a front telescopic suspension and rear shock absorber, while the integrated braking system is being offered as standard in the scooter.
In terms of technical specifications, powering the Hero Duet is an air-cooled and single cylinder motor that is featuring 110cc engine compartment, which makes it able to return a maximum power of 8 BHP at 8,000 RPM and 8.30 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM, the engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
