Honda Activa Becomes the Highest Selling Two-Wheeler

Honda Activa becomes the most popular scooter of the country as lots of people have shown their love for this scooter. The Honda Activa has broken all the records of its selling for the month of March, 2015, as the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has reported that the company has sold over 2,07,270 units in the March, 2015 that has increased the overall graph of its selling. The scooter has marked its position among the top 10 selling two-wheelers in the country for March, 2015. Whereas, Honda Activa has recorded the growth of 30 per cent with respect to its earlier sales.

Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “This achievement is more significant since Activa (an ATSC) has displaced a motorcycle for numero uno position in the Indian two-wheeler industry. In the journey of becoming India’s No.1-selling two-wheeler, Activa has broken the glass ceiling as the only ATSC to feature in the top 10 bestselling two-wheelers in India. Today, Activa is not only a market leader but more importantly the growth driver of the ATSC segment, growing a stellar 30% and surpasses the ATSC segment growth of 25% in FY 2014-15.”

The Honda Activa is a flagship automatic scooter that is available in the market in two variants as Honda Activa and Honda Activa 125. The scooter looks very premium with its stunning look and dynamic graphics that is why it becomes the first choice of youth. The Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 125cc engine which returns an 8.6 BHP of power at 6000 RPM and 10.1 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. Whereas, the 110cc variant likely to be producing 8 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 8.74 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM.
