In today's time, curiosity among the people has become higher and they don't want to wait for anything. This might be a reason that Honda has revealed the powerhouse details and specs of its upcoming BR-V, where the official launch is just about to happen on May 5, 2016. It could be a similar step to increase curiosity among the buyers as the digital campaign #WhereNextWithBRV did.
Continuing with the details, the Honda BR-V has been made available with both petrol and diesel engine choices. Talking about the petrol unit, it will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit that generates 118 Bhp of power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm. On the other hand, diesel will come out with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC that produces 98.6 Bhp of power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque.

To send the power at the wheels, two transmission options - 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox will be offered for the petrol motor while the diesel will only have the manual unit. As the fuel efficiency, the diesel trim is good for 21.9 kmpl, while the petrol will return 15.4 kmpl and 16 kmpl for manual and CVT respectively.
With the seven-seat configuration, buyers will get to see many styling and cosmetic elements. In addition, the second and third-row occupants will also get the facility of roof-mounted air conditioning vents with individual blower setting. Some of the top-end variant features are listed as automatic climate control, Bluetooth telephony and audio streaming, touchscreen infotainment system, and ABS (anti-lock braking system).

Dimensionally, it measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, 1,666 mm in height and a high ground clearance of 210 mm. The carmaker has also appointed 223 litres of boot volume that can be extended up to 691 litres just by folding the third-row seats. Well, there is no details about the price, it could lie between INR 10.93 Lakhs to INR 12.93 Lakhs. When launched, it will go up against its competitors like Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and many other that fits in its range.
