Honda City now has the manual gearbox option in the higher-specification ZX trim as till now, Honda City was only available with the fully loaded petrol trim with a CVT gearbox. The ZX MT will cost Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is Rs 1.3 lakh lesser than the CVT.
The equipments of ZX variant is same as of the CVT model i.e. automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, six airbags, electric sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Two new shades- Radiant Red Metallic and Lunar Silver have also been added by the Honda to the present paint option.

The decision to launch the higher-specification petrol-manual City was taken because of the huge demand for a manual gearbox furnished top petrol variant. Base S petrol trim is no longer manufactured and the petrol range makes an entry with the SV variant.
To make parking sensors as standard in all the models, Honda upgraded the entire City line-up. This has been done because of the rule that will come in to existence on July 1, 2019 in which it is mandatory to have standard fitment of safety features. It also includes a speed warning system a driver-side airbag, and a seatbelt reminder for driver and passenger.

In February 2019, Honda will launch the latest-gen Civic. It will come with the options like 1.8-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel powertrain and both will be coupled with a manual gearbox as standard. Also note that the petrol variant will get an option of an automatic gearbox.
