Honda, a world famous Japanese car manufacturing company going to launch an all new Honda Urban SUV Spied earlier this year at the Detroit Motor Show. This SUV will be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan. A completion video of its testing is also hitting the internet which literally shows that Honda's Urban SUV is on testing before a year ahead of launch.
On the similar ground, Honda is thinking to reveal an all-new Jazz hatchback, Brio based MPV and a Jazz based compact SUV by the end of 2014. The Urban SUV is based on the 2014 Jazz platform, and will share its most of the components with the hatchback and City sedan. So, this will be Honda's compact SUV to hit the Indian shores by the next year, soon after the introduction of next-generation Jazz, City sedan and Brio based MPV.
It is expected that the Honda Urban SUV Spied is to share its engine and transmission options with the next-generation City sedan, which is likely to hit the Indian shores by the next year. So, the Honda Urban SUV Spied will be comprised of a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel engine. Globally the Honda Urban SUV Spied will be more than 4 meter in length but much smaller than the CR-V crossover.
It is expected that the India-bound Honda Urban SUV Spied will be locally manufactured in our country, and will have high amount of local car components. The Honda compact SUV will stand before the EcoSport, Duster, Terrano and the upcoming Hyundai's compact crossover. Company will again show the best use of its philosophy of Man-Maximum Machine-Minimum, with compact SUV.
