The Honda Motorcycles has disclosed the full technical details of its much-awaited adventure motorcycle, Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. The production ready adventure motorcycle will be powered by an all-new 1000cc parallel twin engine displacement that delivers 95PS of power at 7500 RPM and 98NM of torque 6000 Revs. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission, which will be featured with Honda's unique Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) as an option. The motorcycle will be available Honda showrooms across Europe by the end of 2015. The company claims that the motorcycle has an excellent on-road or off-road riding ability as the CRF1000L Africa Twin is featured with a dynamic chassis and robust engine that will boost the performance of the motorcycle.
The CRF1000L Africa Twin is featured with a front 21 inch spoke and 18 inch rear wheels, while the off-road tyers will provide dynamic ride quality on the rough terrain. The motorcycle has a dry weight 208 KG, whereas, it measures 2335mm of length, 875mm of width and 1475 mm of height. The ground clearance of this machine is 250mm. The seat height (Standard/Relaxed) of this motorcycle is 870/850mm.

The CRF1000L Africa Twin will make its entry in four color options- Silver, CRF Rally, Tricolor and Black. The other features of this motorcycle are switchable Anti-lock Braking System, multi-mode HSTC for optimal traction both on-road and off-road. Moreover, the adjustable seat height makes it great all rounder or day-to-day commuter.
The motorcycle is featured with a fully adjustable long-travel Showa inverted forks at the front and rear Showa hydraulic spring preload suspension. The braking duties are taken care by a dual radial-mount Nissin four-piston brake calipers and 310mm ‘wave’ style floating discs. Apart from this, in terms of design, the CRF1000L Africa Twin has a twin headlight, adjustable seat height, windshield, split seats and off-road tyres that give an off-road to the motorcycle.
