Honda is aiming high and has been very much positive about its festive season targets, which they have set for 10 lakh units. Even the company also mentioned it in various quotations and aims to clock the sales above one million units in this festive season in India.
Honda is proving a high working industry in motor vehicles and the commendable part is that it achieved an overall growth of 22 per cent than last year. Honda has been waiting to expect some good growth and sales from the rural market in the time of favorable monsoon. The expected target is 35 per cent of bikes in the rural area due to the better monsoon.
Also, the company has offered an INR 2000 cash benefits on the motorbikes which would be targeting the central government and Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) employees who are entitled to get the much-awaited 7th pay commission.
HMSI, senior vice president (sales and marketing), Y S Guleria mentioned that “We plan to sell more than one million units during this festival season. We are expecting that bikes will constitute 35 per cent of target sales during festival season as demand for motorcycles picks up in the rural sector during these months.”

The vice president also commented on the growth of the company, “We are anticipating total sales of 5.4 million units by end of this fiscal which will be 22 per cent higher than sales of last financial year.” And about the exports,”
“HMSI registered a 34 per cent growth in total exports this fiscal due to increased sales of two-wheelers in SAARC countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal.”
