Honda, a Japanese manufacturer of Automobiles, showcased the brand new 2018 Goldwing at Tokyo Motor Show 2017. It will be available in two variants; which are Goldwing and Goldwing Tour.
With enhanced features over its predecessor, it is claimed to be lighter and more ride-friendly flagship bike by Honda. Although the bike looks attractive and has a sharper appearance in design, it reflects massiveness too. The metal fairing design is kept to enhance the better aerodynamics and the addition of this has increased 11.8% improvement in aerodynamics performance as per the company claim. The bike has full LED headlights accounted for an electrically flexible windscreen and an analog, 7-inch, colorful TFT instrument console.
The tourer bike powered by a 1800cc engine and an arrangement of a flat engine with 4-cylinder horizontally in two banks of two cylinders(the bike has 6-cylinders). Power and torque specifications are unknown till now. The engine collaborates with a 7-speed dual-clutch or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Goldwing 1800 cc engine and dual clutch transmission makes forward and reverse walking move which helps in parking the tourer.
The bike has double wishbone suspension at the front which is able to reduce the shock transmission towards the handlebar and inertial mass at the front side by approx 30% and 40% respectively. For the rear suspension, there is a Pro-Link Showa monoshock. The ABS is standard on the motorcycle and dual 320mm front disc with a single 316mm rear disc fulfill the braking requirements.

Apart from this, there is a ride-by-wire throttle technology, exclusive HSTC(Honda Selectable Torque Control), Hill Start Assist, amazing four-riding modes(including Sport, Economy, Rain, and Tour), accurate tyre pressure Monitoring System, and Cruise control. The starting price of 2018 Honda Goldwing is approx Rs. 16 lakhs and the Goldwing Tour is placed at approx Rs. 17.62 lakhs. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 21-litres and Goldwing Tour has an airbag optional.
