Honda’s flagship luxury touring motorcycle, the Goldwing, which is renowned as an ultimate luxury motorcycle is going to receive major upgrades for 2018. As the bike was last upgraded in 2011.
By going through the patents images it is known that there could be two options for the bike’s front end. Either, it would be a pair of wishbones fastened to a girder via bearings or an association of a single shock and a lower wishbone. From the mentioned options, the first setup would include a semi-active single sprung shock ascended under the handlebars. While the second setup will dispatch stopping forces to the frame instead, also divulging that the front end is light.
At the powering end, if the next year model underpins the similar flat-six engine of the current Goldwing, it is required to comply the Euro 5 emission norms straight away from its launch. Other than this, a four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain is also expected, the filled patents by the company revealed the same.
