Even after positioning on the top with its well-famed scooter; Honda Activa, the HMSI is continuously planning to introduce a new product in the Indian portfolio to serve the country with a wide range of products. In the month of January, 2015, the manufacturer has imported a unit of the Honda PCX 150 in the country. With the incoming of the PCX150, it gives us a hint of the scooters being offered by the Honda Motorcycles in India in the coming era. It is the first scooter in its class featuring a 150cc displaced engine. The Honda PCX 150 is expected to be unveiled by the firm at the Auto Expo, 2016. The Auto Expo, 2016 will be going to take place in the month of February, 2016 in Delhi.
Talking about the imported scooter; Honda PCX 150, it is powered by a single-cylinder, PGM fuel-injection motor carrying an engine displacement of 153cc. Associated with a liquid-cooled motor, it is tuned to belt out a maximum power of 13.4 BHP and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The 153cc displaced engine is mated to the Honda's V-Matic automatic transmission. From the suspension front, the Honda PCX 150 gets telescopic front forks and twin-shock at the rear. It would also be the first scooter in its class which is equipped with a three-piston caliper, single disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear, further accompanied with CBS.

As it comes under the 150cc segment, it has appeared as a quite big scooter as compared to the existing ones, carrying a total weight of 130 kgs. Getting into the cosmetic details of the Honda PCX 150, it appears to acquire a contrasting design unlike the existing ones already available in the Indian market. The large-sized and blacked out front visor bonding up with the headlamp and blinkers looks quite impressive without any front apron. There would be no storage space provided in the scooter; neither at the front nor behind the seat. The simplified rear section flaunts its very own influence in the design of the scooter.
