Honda Jazz to Borrow CVT Gearbox from City in India

According to the market reports, Honda will roll out its new generation Jazz in India, including a CVT choice for the petrol variant. It is expected to be launched soon in our country this year after a couple of months. Power will come from a 1.2 litre petrol engine, which would be derived from Brio, while a 1.5 litre diesel engine will be shared with the Amaze, Mobilio and City. Both of these variants will have the capacity to churn out maximum outputs of 88 PS and 100 PS, respectively.

Notably, the mill would get paired to a 5-speed manual transmission for regular variant and an optional 5-speed CVT gearbox, which will be borrowed from the expensive City sedan. Its diesel version is believed to render tremendous fuel efficiency on the highway as well as in the urban condition that will confer a superb drive for the enthusiasts. As this manufacturer stopped the production of previous model due to the very bad selling rate in the Indian automobile market and the reason behind its poor response is the price, which was expensive according to Jazz's features.

Hence, Honda is aiming to make a way for this updated vehicle with more impressive features, including an affordable price that is likely to be varied from INR 5 Lac to INR 7 Lac. The upcoming hatchback will give a terrible impedance to the Fiat Punto Evo, VW Polo, Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt and Hyundai Elite i20.
