Honda has launched the next generation models of its two flagship products the CBR250R and the CB250F in Japan. The 2017 Honda CBR250R sportbike is priced with an introductory price tag of JYP 4,98,960 (around INR 2.94 lakh). Whereas, the updated form of naked streetfighter CB250F is available to buy at JYP 4,64,400 (INR 2.74 lakh, approx.). Apparently, major changes have not been observed on both of the motorcycles, besides cosmetics updates that comprise new colour schemes and stylish graphics. Where various international markets have gained these improved trims, the Indian market is still waiting for the new version of Honda CB250F.
Imposed skin changes include Black badges on the both sides along with the relocated "Honda" logo on the lowermost fairing panel of the CBR250R. While the CB250F gets graphics stripes under the seat and tank extensions. In terms of colour options, the street fighter CB250F offers Black and Millennium Red shade. Whereas, on the flip of the coin, 2017 CBR250R sports version received an extra choice of Ross White shade. The Bronze finish engine casing and cylinder head cover facility are being provided on the both 2017 versions of the motorcycles.

Mechanically, both the Honda CBR250R and the CB250F is sharing the same a 249 cc, single cylinder engine that is capable of spitting out the maximum power of 29 PS at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 23 Nm at 7500 rpm through the aids of a 6-speed manual transmission. Offering similar fuel capacity of 13 liters, both the motorcycles are available in ABS integrated trims as well as an option. The new CB250F weights 158kg while the CBR250R is 3kg much heavier than the former one.
