Honda Navi Garners More Than 10,000 Unit Sales Since Launch

Honda Navi, a blend of scooter and motorcycle has been introduced at the passed 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. There, it managed to impress the audience from its unique new generation targeted styling. Packed with the smaller capacity engine, Honda Navi crosses the 10,000 unit sales within the two months period. According to reports, the mini bike is made available in 7 cities which include Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Pune.

Built on the Honda Activa platform, Navi gets this form after numerous alterations to make it a 101 kg, lightweight motorcycle. It also gets fibre made body panels that keeps the body light. The mini bike carries ample space for storage and external fuel tank aid for easy fueling. Powering for the so called monkey bike is the similar 109cc, air-cooled engine inspired from the premium scooter in the country, Honda Activa. The motor is able to burst out power figure of 8 PS at 7,000 rpm and the peak torque of 8.96 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It also offers the claimed mileage figure of 60 KMPL.

Moreover, it runs on 12” front and 10” rear wheel containing tubeless tyres, which are mounted onto the upside-down front fork and Hydraulic monoshock at the rear. The braking is carried out effectively by the 130mm drum brakes unit integrated on both wheels.

The Honda Navi comes in five color option of Green, Orange, White, Black and Red with a attractive price sticker of Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The speculations around that it will be offered in three variants of Street, Adventure and Off-road and the bigger sibling, Honda Navi Go is likely to make it way to the Indian market by the year end. Also, the automaker is planning to make this quirky mini bike available in 35 cities across the country.
