Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launching date for its anticipated middleweight motorcycle, Honda CBR650F. During the launching event of Honda Livo, the Japanese manufacturer has stated that the CBR650F will be the next product that has been scheduled for the first week of August as the motorcycle will be launched in India on 4 August 2015. The booking of CBR650F has already started with an amount of INR 50,000.
The motorcycle will be brought in the country via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, that will be assembled the motorcycle in the country, carrying only 5 percent of localization. Furthermore, the motorcycle will be sold in only single shade that will be distributed in 20 cities of the country to retail. The farm has also confirmed that the middleweight sports motorcycle will be cost around INR 8 Lakhs.
In terms of its technical features, the Honda CBR650F is powered by an in-line, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled and 649cc displacement engine. The programmed fuel injection system make it able to produce 87 BHP of power at 11000 RPM and 63 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The engine is paired to a six-speed transmission.
The motorcycle has excellent ergonomics as it measures a 2110mm of length, 755mm of width and 1145mm of height 130mm of ground clearance. The seat height is 810mm from the ground, whereas thew ground clearance is 130mm. The middleweight motorcycle is featured with a stiff twin-spar steel frame, which sits on a front 41mm telescopic forks and rear shock spring loaded suspensions. Thus, the braking duties are taken care by a 320mm twin-piston caliper disc at the front and 240mm single-piston caliper disc brake at the rear, while the Anti-lock Braking System is standard in the motorcycle.
The motorcycle will compete against to the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Hyosung GT650 and Benelli TNT 600 GT. Stay tuned with SAGMart to get live updates of the event.
