Honda wrapped off the Gold Wing GL1800 in India, Prices inside

As the cruiser motorcycle manufacturers are spreading their wings in the Indian two-wheeler industry, the Honda Motorcycles doesn’t want to step out of the line. After having a wide range of international motorcycle brands such as Harley-Davidson, Victory Motorcycles, Triumph, Royal Enfield and many more, here come one another to heat-up the competition. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has recently introduced the all new Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 over the Indian ground. Besides that, the newly launched luxury touring motorcycle is also celebrating its 40th Anniversary as well.

The Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 will be featuring a horizontally-opposed 6-cylinder configuration. It has carried a liquid-cooled motor carrying an engine displacement of 1832cc. The engine is mated to 6-speed transmission and is capable to generate a maximum power of 116 BHP @ 5500 RPM and a peak torque of 167Nm @ just 4000 RPM. The firm has installed enhanced breaking duties, as dual full-floating at the front and single ventilated three-piston caliper at the rear, accompanied with ABS. The braking system is catered by Honda's Combined Braking System (CBS).

Being a touring motorcycle, the Gold Wing GL 1800 has acquired cartridge fork with anti-dive system at the front and computer-controlled spring preload adjustable suspensions at the rear. The newly introduced touring motorcycle is built around a lightweight twin-spar aluminum frame and featuring a single-sided swingarm. The motorcycle weighs 363 Kg.

The Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 has carried a badge of the special 40th Anniversary edition. The Gold Wing will be offered in two-tone paint scheme such as Red/Graphite Black and Pearl Glare White. The motorcycle has been launched carrying a price tag of Rs 28.50 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Delhi) and an airbag version will be following soon which costs Rs 31.05 Lacs.
