Honda X-Blade, a new premium commuter from HMSI has been introduced in its existing lineup at the price sticker of INR 78,500 (ex-showroom). In the segment, the motorcycle will go in competition with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ and the upcoming TVS Apache RTR 160.
Get placed between offerings such as the CB Unicorn 160 and the CB Hornet 160R, the X-Blade shares underpinnings from the later one. The features such as an LED headlamp and taillamp, muscular fuel tank with extensions, digital instrument cluster and exhaust with dual outlets are the major highlights of the new X-Blade. An additional feature of gear indicator is also given with the Instrument console.
Mechanically, the sourced 162cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine from Honda CB Hornet 160R will perform the propelling duties as a beating heart. The churned out power and torque figures from the engine mated to a five-speed gearbox are 13.9bhp and 13.9Nm respectively. To absorb shocks on roads with potholes and uneven surfaces, the automaker bundled X-Blade with suspension setup comprising telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.
Furthermore, the brand is also offering personalization option in which allows bike’s customization with the provided set of accessories that suits your taste. The colour palette contains options such as blue, silver, red, black and green.
