The DSK Hyosung is the most popular growing motorcycle manufacturer in Indian two-wheeler market. The firm is currently offering a wide range of products for Indian portfolio. The offering includes 6 different products, which carries varied engine displacement starting from 250cc and goes up to 678cc. These products include sports and cruiser motorcycles. Now, according to a recent announcement, the firm is planning to add a new product to the Indian portfolio. The Korean motorcycle maker has confirmed the production of the upcoming sport motorcycle and named it as DSK Hyosung GD 250R.
The styling of the upcoming sports motorcycle, Hyosung GD 250R, would be expected to carry hefty and fully-faired bodywork. It might get launched in the country, replacing the existing GT 250R. The designer curves and cues carried by the upcoming motorcycle seem to be inspired by the Ducati's Panigale model. It has received an aggressive styling featuring a massive fuel tank, stepped-cum-split seat, twin headlamps and under belly exhaust tail.

Mechanically, the Hyosung GD 250R gets its power from a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor configuration. The 249cc displaced engine is tuned to produce a maximum power of 27.6 BHP @ 9500 revs and achieve a peak torque of 24 Nm @ 7000 RPM. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission and the power uses a chain drive to reach to the rear wheel. The suspension duties have been taken care by USD front forks and monoshock at the rear. In terms of safety, the firm has installed disc brakes. Hence, no ABS is provided even as an option.
The Hyosung GD 250R will be competing against Yamaha's upcoming R25, KTM RC 200 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300. The expected price of the upcoming Hyosung GD 250R would be nearly Rs 2.50 Lacs.
