Hyundai Creta to Offer Petrol variant with an AMT Unit

One of the best selling cars in India, Hyundai Creta is available in both diesel and petrol variant as of now. As a transmission, the former comes mated with both manual and AMT unit, while the latter has only been attached with manual gearbox. As per the fresh reports, the Hyundai Motor India is planning to introduce the petrol version of its Creta SUV with an automatic transmission option. With information available from Financial Express the car can be followed by Elite i20 also in future.

Hyundai spokesperson said, “There is an open space for introducing an automatic transmission in petrol in the Creta … we have got strong inputs from our dealer partners and there are considerable enquiries for a petrol automatic.”

It was first launched in July, 2015 and from then, the success of Creta is calculated in numbers of 62,195 sold and 1,05,000 bookings as well as the model is also exported to around 90 countries. This might also be the reason behind the forthcoming model.

Anyway, those who don't know, Hyundai is also planning to celebrates its two decades in India by launching the special editions of Xcent and Grand i10. Both the cars are expected to make their appearance in upcoming months. Besides these, the new Elantra would arrive at the dealership by August 2016 as well as the new Tucson compact SUV will be launched before the end of this year.
