Hyundai Creta, one of the most successful SUVs by the South Korean Carmaker Hyundai in India, is all set to get its latest 2018 edition for the country. The new car was recently spotted while testing in Chennai. It is not a hidden thing that Creta’s success contributed a lot in making Hyundai one of the largest carmakers in India. Now, the company is planning to launch the latest version as the SUV completes three years in the country.
The test vehicle, which was spotted recently, had a black camouflage covering most of the car. However, some crucial parts like the roof and the front were visible, as you can see in the image.
The latest facelift model in question was previously launched in Brazil in 2016 and is running successfully there. The India-modified version is likely to retain most of the specs from its Brazilian counterpart.
The most noteworthy features of the 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift include a bigger and more masculine front grille having chrome outlining, broader space for slates, slim horizontally positioned fog lamps and a wider faux skid plate on the front bumper.
As for the sides, the only major difference is in tires, which are replaced by new 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The test vehicle also confirms that the new Creta model will come with a sunroof. This was a much needed and kind of cooler addition to the SUV.
The rear tail lamp design has been kept the same, but some work may have been done with the arrangement inside the lamps.

In terms of features and inside design, the SUV has been kept almost the same. The cabin design looks the same. Other features include an engine start-stop button, rear-parking sensors, keyless entry, automatic aircon, a new 7-inch display infotainment system with GPS, MP3 player, USB and auxiliary options and photo and video player.
The recently spotted model doesn’t say much about the engine and power capacity of the vehicle. It is being estimated that the 2018 Creta will feature the same three engine variants - 1.6 VTVT petrol, 1.6 CRDi diesel, and 1.4 CRDi diesel. The company is also not expected to make any changes to the transmissions and powertrains.
As for the launch date and price of the 2018 Creta, nothing can be said for sure. We can expect to see the SUV on the Indian roads by May-June this year. The price will be a little higher than the previous version.
