There isn't doubt in the fact that the Indian market is accepting luxury cars from the German trio of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now, seeing that the trend is soaring, many other manufacturers are checking in with the new products and for example Fiat is about to launch its luxury SUV brand Jeep in India by the end of this year and so as the Nissan is thinking about its Lexus brand. Apart from that, there is also rumor going on in the market that Hyundai is also planning to launch its ultra luxury Genesis sedan in India. Although Hyundai is known as the small car king in India, but this time it's taking chances with the luxury cars.
Talking about the car, it comes only in petrol options internationally that is 3.0 Litre, 3.3 Litre, 3.8 Litre and 5.0 Litre powerhouse. The 3.8 Litre engine, which is on test in India produces 315 PS power and 397 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system to deliver power to its all wheels. The car is also very much equipped with top-notch security features and some of them are traction control, automatic emergency braking, smart cruise control, lane assist and much more.
Although the only concern which could hurt this campaign of Hyundai is the expected price of Genesis sedan that is about to be INR 50 Lac and if you see the trend in Indian market, then I guess people will go for German trio instead of Hyundai.
