According to a report in Autocar, the top spec trims of Hyundai models, namely i20 and i20 Active have been put on sale. These models have been equipped with a 7-inch AVN infotainment system with touchscreen facility. The top ranging trim of i20 model is named Asta (O) whereas i20 Active gets its top spec model called SX. The i20 Active crossover is available for sale in three trims- Base, S and SX. This top trim has been available with a diesel engine but now a petrol variant will also be added to the lineup.
The touchscreen infotainment system equipped in both these top specs is also found in the newly introduced Hyundai Creta. It supports various connectivity options like AUX, Bluetooth and USB. This infotainment facility also displays data retrieved from the parking camera implanted at the rear portion. Similarly, the Asta (O) trim of i20 has been additionally equipped with the same infotainment facility along with the basic features found in the Asta trim.
The top ranging i20 Active SX has been available till now only with the diesel engine. This diesel motor contains a 1.4 litre, 4-cylinder unit that can generate a power of 88.73Bhp at 400 rpm along with the torque of 220 Nm at 1500-2750 rpm. The displacement on offer measures 1396 cc and power is transmitted via a six-speed manual gearbox. The fuel efficiency offered by this motor is rated at 21.19 kmpl. Hyundai is reportedly planning to introduce the same AVN infotainment setup in the Verna model.
