Hyundai India to Roll Out Elite i20 Anniversary Edition

Last year, Hyundai had re-introduced the i20 hatchback as Elite i20 in order to regain customers' faith in the company which had shaken in the form of declining sales of the former vehicle. This car has now successfully completed one year in the Indian automobile market and has been able to create a special place in the hearts of the audience. As per some recent reports, the automaker is planning to celebrate this occasion by launching an anniversary edition model. The detailed specifications have not been confirmed officially. However, it is being anticipated that this edition of Elite is going to carry the same engine available in the current line-up.

There will be a new range of features to be equipped in this upcoming model, enhancing its looks. It will also highlight some special edition badges on the exterior portions. At present, this model is available with several eye catching components like the chromed grille and beautiful headlamps that are swept backwards. Moreover, the cabin also flaunts some modern amenities including the three-spoke steering housing audio controls, climate control, reverse parking assist, etc. It stands with 285 litres of boot capacity that is second highest in the hatchback segment.

As mentioned above, the powertrain will not bear any changes and will continue to carry a 1.2 litre Kappa VTVT petrol engine that pumps out 83 PS power and 115 Nm torque. In addition to this, there is also a diesel variant in the line-up integrated with 1.4 litre U2 CRDi motor delivering output amounting to 90 PS and 220 Nm. For transmission, the former is clubbed with a five-speed manual unit, while the latter is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
