Hyundai ix25 May Launch in India in August or September

The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV is expected to set up in the Indian market either in August or September between the expected price of INR 8-10 Lacs. This model has already been caught out while testing in Chennai and with a closer observation, it has been found that the car seems to receive projector headlamps including LED daytime running lights and superb 16 inch 5 spoke alloy rims. Codenamed as 'Hyundai GS', the ix 25 is already available in China, alongside the length of 4,270 mm, width of 1,780 mm and height of 1,630 mm. Interestingly, the South Korean company is investing INR 1,000 Crores regarding the project of this upcoming vehicle.

The Senior Vice president of Hyundai Motor India LTD, Rakesh Srivastav said, “In the sedans, we have the full range from Eon to Elantra. However, we have only the Santa Fe in the premium SUV segment, which is one of the fastest growing segments in India. It's our endeavour to complete the range.” Moreover, the long awaited runabout is anticipated to be powered by the Verna inspired 1.4 litre VTVT petrol engine, which is likely to produce power of 105.5 bhp, while a 1.4 litre U2 diesel engine is about to churn out 88.7 bhp of power.

There are speculations that this crossover might not comprise an AWD configuration. Notably, the Hyundai ix25 will compete against the likes of Maruti SX4 S-Cross, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Mahindra Scorpio.
