Celebrating the glorious 20 years in India, Hyundai India has launched a special edition of the Xcent without making much buzz. The special edition Xcent model has been positioned in the mid S trim level, which is available at an additional cost of Rs 16,999. The special anniversary edition Xcent is available with a price tag of Rs 6.22 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 7.15 lakh for the diesel version. (ex-showroom prices, Delhi)
On the exterior part, the car receives detailing that depicts the '20th anniversary' badge on the boot. The front grille gets chrome finish. Other modification includes a boot-lid spoiler with a reflector strip, chrome detailing on the rear counterpart and graphics engraved on sides.
The interior gets new black and red dual-tone fabric upholstery, followed by the dashboard equipped with a 6.2-inch Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment system and 2-DIN audio system. Overall, the cabin gets a black theme.
The 20th anniversary-edition Xcent offers two colour options - Pure White and Sleek Silver. both the versions are powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre diesel engines. The former is able to churn out a maximum power of 82 Bhp and a torque of 112 Nm, while the latter delivers a power output of 71Bhp followed by a peak torque of 180Nm. The transmission is carried away by a five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol version also gets a four-speed automatic gearbox.
The company will be producing limited 2,400 units of the anniversary-edition Hyundai Xcent Sedan.
