Hyundai India has started accepting bookings for the Hyundai Creta petrol automatic, which can be booked at a nominal cost of Rs 25,000. The car is available with a waiting period of three months, coming with a price tag of INR 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom price). As of now, the car is available in the top SX+ variant only.
The Petrol AT variant has been published on the official Hyundai website few weeks earlier. It is powered by the 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit that produces a maximum power of 122bhp followed by 154Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission as seen in the Elantra sedan.
The Creta petrol AT will stand against some main rivals like Honda City AT and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz AT. However, the Verna seems to be outdated with the four-speed AT engine.Hyundai is expected to bring the best out of the petrol variant. As far as the price is concerned, it has been noticed that the Creta costs Rs 1 lakh more than the Ciaz model and when compared to Honda City CVT, it costs Rs 50,000 extra. We hope, Hyundai offers some additional features in order to distribute the prices effectively across the variants.
