Hyundai is set to offer the updated Tucson in India on May 2019. Globally, the refreshed SUV has launched a few months ago at the 2018 New York motor show.
For a fresh look, the Tucson gets styling tweaks to its nose and at least on the top-spec trim, now it is full-LED units as light design updates are done on headlights. Hyundai cascade now gets the grille and the SUV gets modified bumpers and fog lamp housings.

There are multiple driver assist features in the Tucson, including autonomous emergency braking and lane-keep assist and also comes with a 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control. The infotainment system comes with the updation of 8.0-inch screen with Android Auto compatibility and Apple CarPlay.
The car engine of Hyundai will be the same in India- a 155hp 2.0-litre petrol and a 185hp 2.0-litre diesel. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic options are included in gearbox. Hyundai offers Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill assist and brake assist safety features on all the variants of the updated SUV.

In the Indian Market, the Tucson facelift will compete with the rivals- the upcoming MG Motor SUV, Jeep Compass, the Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
The company already began working on the next-gen Tucson, which will be launched in 2021. This new model will come up with a seven-seater configuration and new features will be added- a head-up-display.
