Slated to be launched in September this year in India, the Hyundai Tucson SUV has been caught on camera during the test round on the roads of Pune. Once landed on the market, it will be slotted between the much in demand crossover Creta and the full sized SUV Santa Fe. The said unit was rumored not to be presented in India owing to the diesel ban issue, however, it was later ended up when the diesel ban rule was discarded by the government.
As you can see in the picture, the car has been disguised beneath the Zebra lining livery. Very less information could be captured by the spy shots, albeit, most of the details have already been out at the 2016 Auto Expo, where it was first displayed by the company. Technical specs are still under the table even though India-bound model is expected to house 2.0-litre diesel engine along with two states of tune - 134 Bhp and 181 Bhp. A six-speed manual or an automatic transmission box might get featured with the engine.
On the aesthetic front, it will sport sweptback headlamps, hexagonal grille, sloping roof lines, LED DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, etc. Moreover, the company will design this unit with a length of 4475 mm, a height of 1645 mm, width of 1850 mm and a wheelbase of 2670 mm. Interior might get adorned in the dual tone color facility along with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supported by AUX, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, music system with 8 speakers and many others.
As the vehicle is making its presence again in the country after almost five years, we can assume most advanced and heart touching features within a convenient price tag. After getting launched in the Indian market at the expected price between INR 18 Lakhs to INR 23 Lakhs, it will take on the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra XUV 500, Ford Endeavour, and Chevrolet Trailblazer.
