Hyundai Venue Put on Sale with a Price Tag of INR 6.5 lakh

Good news coming up for Hyundai car fans in India !!! An all-new compact SUV, the Venue, has been launched by Hyundai in India with a starting price of INR 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The car is likely to directly compete against the very popular and hot selling car model from Maruti Suzuki- Vitara Brezza. That\'s not all, in the compact SUV segment, Hyundai Venue is also going to face fierce competition against the likes of Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. The newly launched Venue comes with six different trims- E, S, SX, SX Dual Tone, SX+ and SX(O) along with three different engine choices. It is very much anticipated that the initial pricing of this car will be revised by the company very soon in the upcoming few months.

On the mechanical front, the car comes with two petrol and a single diesel engine option. The 1.4-litre diesel motor underpinning Venue is similar to the one that is found on larger Hyundai Creta model from Hyundai. The diesel powertrain in Hyundai Venue generates power of 90hp and 220 Nm of torque. On the other hand, petrol engine options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit that generates power of 83hp and a new 1.0-litre turbocharged mill that churns out a power of 120 hp. Both the diesel powertrain and turbo-petrol motors come linked to a 5-speed MT gearbox whereas the 1.2-litre petrol unit comes with 6-speed MT gearbox.

One must note that the 1.0-litre petrol unit also comes equipped with 7-speed DCT automatic. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol trim of Hyundai Venue ( in manual and automatic gearbox configuration) can easily give a highway mileage of 18.15kpl and 18.27kpl, respectively. On the other hand, 1.2 petrol-manual and 1.4 diesel-manual trims also produce best-in-class highly mileage of 17.52 kmpl and 23.7 kmpl respectively.

As far as the car features are concerned, the list unfolds power steering, AC, front power windows and a 12V socket as standard. The advanced features like auto climate control, diamond cut alloy wheels, wireless charging, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Hyundai\'s BlueLink connectivity technology are also present on the higher-end variants of the car. Ten exterior colour options and three interior upholstery options are also available for the newly launched Hyundai Venue. Talking about safety, the car comes with all the modern safety features like dual airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS as standard whereas the top-of-the-line trims also house six airbags along with ESC (in automatic trims).
