Following the first official debut in South Korea last year, the sixth generation Hyundai Elantra has been showcased at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. While the car has already been available on sale in other global markets, India bound model could arrive by the end of this year or early next year.
Mechanically, Hyundai Elantra is offering three engine options with the China-based model. Where the first two engines are going to be carried out with the same 1.6-litre petrol unit, but with different outputs that are 126hp/155.5Nm and 128hp/157Nm. The third one will get a 1.4-litre T-GDI motor that generates about 130 Bhp of power and 210.8 Nm of torque.

The carmaker has also made a choice for the transmission options that is a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic units. Besides, a 2.0-litre MPI petrol and 1.6-litre VGT CRDi diesel units are also available in the international market.
Dimensionally, it measures 4,610 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,450 mm in height and a long wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Some of the other cosmetic and styling are there on the list. These include, HID headlights, LED taillights, LED daytime running lights at the exterior while the cabin has an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and 6-speaker sound system. For safety, 7 airbags, ABS, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), ESC (electronic stability control) and VSM (vehicle stability management) are also considered.
